I thought it was sad that Gluttony screamed for Lust at the last second of his life. He was so close to her and thought of her in his dying moments.

I love how horrified greed was. I think a part of him still cared for his brother even though he was so estranged from his family.

I never realized until now that Gluttony's last word was for Lust to help him. I thought it was just a scream.

Gluttony always reminded me of an evil Winnie the Pooh, if Winnie the Pooh was a man-child.

I love how every Homunculus' death is ironic to their sin:
Lust is burned to death by a *womanizer*
Gluttony is *eaten* by Pride
Envy commits suicide out of *jealousy*
Sloth dies after *overexerting* himself
Wrath is killed by a *once-vengeful* Scar and dies *peacefully*
Pride is reduced to something *weak* and left *crying*
Greed *sacrifices* himself and dies *content*

What's funny is this is an early example of Pride's hypocrisy. When we first see him he's offended to even be compared to Gluttony. But the minute he's in danger he turns to the one beneath him, consumes Gluttony and proceeds to use his heightened senses to get himself out of trouble.

Honestly, this scene fucked me up the most out of this entire series. I actually always really liked Gluttony and it was terrible to see this. In a sense he wasn't really evil or bad; just a mindless pathetic hungry child looking for guidance.

Gluttony is the most innocent of the Homunculus. He has the mentality of a child and will always follow the lead of another person examples being: Lust, Wrath, Pride and even Alphonse at one point.
Side note: In the 2003 version, when Lust dies Gluttony refuses to take commands from his master which I thought was really interesting it shows just how attached he was to Lust.

Poor Gluttony. He was a simpleton with no moral compass being driven insane by an insatiable hunger. If Burger King would have just brought back 29 cent hamburger Wednesday, Gluttony could have finally satisfied that hunger. Sleep well, fat prince...

At first, I just thought he was screaming before he disintegrated. I only realised now that he was crying out for Lust. How sweet.

The fact he cried out for Lust, the one person who was close to him, makes his death all the more heartbreaking. Yeah, he was evil and needed to pay for all the evil he did, but even he was more like a child who didn't know he was being evil. All he could think of was eating anything and everything.

I really felt sorry for him. Hearing him cry out for Lust was really sad.

Out of all the homonculus, Pride is the most evil.
Eating people (alive) aside, Gluttony is the cutest homonculus ever. He isn't evil. It is almost heartbreakingly sad how he begged Lust to help him, before he died : like a child begging its parent to help him.
