Overnight Bot Dump Flipping

Some people seem a bit confused with time zones, I guess you could say that since most players are European and American, the best time to place an offer would be at night European time. This way you are buying throughout the night European time, and then depending on how long you leave the offer in, you are buying throughout the American nighttime as well, if that makes any sense.

Great video, and thank you for sharing this with us, but I noticed a missed opportunity. When doing any bulk flipping if your investment drops in price prior to you selling (what happened at around 5:20 w/ green d'hides) you should always double down so to speak. By buying additional stock at lower prices youre slightly increasing your profit margin from before and its just a nice way to squeeze a few pennies and possibly make up for a less desirable investment.

I love the idea of this, and this is an interesting theory. The only thing I would warn against is that all of these items happened to GE update before they were sold, and most of these were simply bought at mid price. Yes, I would imaging there would be bots dumping their items but not all at once that would honestly be counter intuitive for the bot programmers to do it that way. In my personal opinion these items could very well have all updated down for a loss just as easily as they had gone up in this video. I'm not sure about gold bars being items a lot of people bot, as a lot of legit players do blast furnace and dump their gold bars as quickly as they can - no time to NIS them so they just instant sell.

If these were really bot dumps I would imagine there would be so much stock that you could buy for over 20-30 gp under mid or maybe even get 5% on flips but the GE updating higher prices for them the next day give the illusion that a huge profit was made, as opposed to somebody inactive flipping commonly traded items and non-instant selling them the next day.

This will still work but the profits will be much less than before, also soup and other youtubers wouldn't ruin these money making methods if they weren't a youtuber, they're making money irl themselves so dont give a fuck

You automatically assumed all botters were american, seeing that you say over-night. A true flipper flips at asian and european nighttimes too

If you take into account that you started with ~60m cash
That's only a ~3.3% margin
Which is not a big deal really, doable with just regular flipping at any time of the day

Did you consider that not all botters are from your timezone? Makes little sense for even the majority of bots to sell their days profits at the same time.

I don't really play anymore so I can freely say that this works like crazy on all types of items. In addition to the ones you mentioned, ores and anything that can be bought from vendors (like str potion vendor in warriors guild's stock). You can go way more extreme with the undercutting and overcutting as well. For example, when I was running blast furnace - lets say addy ore is selling at 1450. I would put in buy orders at 1350, 1375, 1400, same thing with coal. The next day I would smith like mad. Afterwards, I would put my bars a sell order above the average price. That way, the next time the blast furnace clan takes a break (the supply does down) I know the prices will rise up to my sell order.

I have botted in the past, and the smartest programming I've seen is: smart bots will follow a path at a specific time according to their payload date (stopping everything and going to the G.E. However, most bots do not do this due to the lack of really good bots. Most bots will generally keep banking until the person running the bots stops them (And sells manually).

What people don't understand is, bots take professional programmers to function, and there's not many left in RuneScape. Most people use Powerbot, which is a crappy bot client. So, this "bot dump" is rare.
