You’re right, but only in TotK. The mechanic is there to show whether or not your attacks are “effective” on your target (blunt on ore, sharp on trees, etc), but in BotW it will still take durability even when it’s ineffective. In TotK, ineffective hits no longer take durability, most likely because losing durability every time you need to power a construct on or off would be a really horrible mechanic.

in botw it does do damage to weapons. Totk it does not. Test your facts before spreading the information please
