I currently have three.
My 14 year old was the rescue who turned us onto the breed.
Those with no sense of humor, need not apply.
These dogs are eager to please, energetic and funny as hell, they will make you laugh with some of their antics.
They are "velcro" dogs, they will cuddle with you wherever whenever.
Keep them active, socialize them and snuggle them.

As I'm getting older we are not an active couple. The reason I love them and will always have a Springer is because they force me to get up and play so that keeps me feeling younger

Probably the best dog that I ever had the privilege to live with. He could hunt, he was super obedient, super affectionate, and when he perceived a threat he was steadfast and brave. He ended up getting cancer. My family misses him so much. His daughter is still with us. She is 18 years old, but still just as sweet as her poppa.

I have a beautiful springer, Cooper. 4 years ago he would whine and claw at my chest, I couldn't figure out his strange behavior. Then I found out I had cancer. I have no doubt whatsoever that he knew and tried to tell me. Love you Cooper, great dog.

I didn't hunt with mine but took him on long hikes often. he would always amaze me how effortlessly he glided through the forest at full throttle. He would spring birds all the time on our walks. He found several turkeys before and a grouse once as well. He ran down a bunny and squirrel once. But he didn't kill them he just tossed them around to play with them for a little bit. He had a deceptive speed. I wouldn't consider him fast like some breeds I've seen, but he could be fast when he needed to be. These guys easily make themselves the center of attention in the home with all their antics. If he wasn't shoving a slimy ball into someone's lap, he was dropping his ball into someone's shoe to see if he could dig it out. He also turned into a world class frisbie player. I think he caught 12 or 13 in a row one time. I wish I recorded it lol.

We are on our 3rd Springer spaniel, the first two lived beautiful lives til 14. We are older with this spaniel, and we use her energy to keep us in shape. The spaniel personality is like no other dog, love love this breed. This spaniel loves to visit the neighborhood and anyone walking by, she greets other dogs easily also. And she hugs, I mean pull it in kind of hug! We were asked to make her a hugging dog. LOL

Friends of mine have a Springer called Artie. I don’t see them often as they live in a different state, but when I go to visit Artie recognises me immediately and gives me quite the welcome 😄

We lost our beautiful Springer Spaniel, Molly a few weeks ago. She enjoyed going hunting with me when younger and just for walks and hugs when she got older and she far exceeded her expected lifespan and made it to just shy of 15 years old. I agree that Springers are loving and totally absorbed with their family. My Wife says no (sometimes maybe) but we have a spaniel shaped hole in our lives and I hope that we can find another Springer to fill that void. They are truly the most wonderful dogs to have in your family.

I grew up with this breed, as we are a family of hunters. I haven't had one in years, but recently just got another. 8 Week old puppy. I love your channel, they are amazing dogs if you know what to expect from them. One of the smartest dogs I have ever been around, I competed in obedience for years and they are one of my favorites to train.

I've had 6 springers and the one I have now, [Maple] is the only one who has shed at all and it's not that bad. They're very smart and loyal. They're also a velcro breed and want to be by your side at all times. Once you have a springer, you'll be hooked on them.

My English Springer Spaniel lived to 14. Looking for a new dog I was curious how different a show spaniel is vs a field spaniel, and how different of a personality the different type of Springers have (English/Show English/Field, Welsh, etc)

my springer is the best dog i have had loyal without a doubt the best workrt on all the shoots i go on as a pu she was very head strong as they all are but with good tuition they soo become one cracking good dog keeps me fit with 3 long walks daily come rain hail snow or sunshine

Spaniels are the best. I have had 5 spaniels. I would not have any other breed after having a Spaniel.
