Eric Green, MD, PhD, Director of the National Institutes of Health-National Human Genome Research Institute, presents a talk about the impact of precision medicine. While directing an independent research program for almost two decades, Dr. Green was at the forefront of efforts to map, sequence and understand eukaryotic genomes including significant, start-to-finish involvement in the Human Genome Project. His interests include comparative genomics and human genetic disease.This lecture was part of the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Medicine Grand Rounds series. The title of his September 16, 2016 Grand Rounds talk is "From the Human Genome Project to Precision Medicine: A Journey to Advance Human Health."
