I know at the nursing home where I worked at we weren't allowed to leave the bedrails up unless the doctor said it was ok. And on top of that before and after each procedure your suppose to wash your hands and put the call light in their reach and ask them do they need anything before leaving the room.

They did not verify patient, mitter the corners, leave call light, lower the bed down for safety, document or wash hands after the procedure. And I hope the Nurse Plan says keep side rails up, because of that's entrapment.
