Despite current events it has presented me a silver lining of being able to sit down and learn Japanese, something I wanted to try for the longest time. These videos are great to watch and making learning much easier for me. So, thanks for taking the time to make these videos, and be sure to stay safe.

Just want to say that your lessons are fantastic. My previous Japanese classes got killed when covid happens and I’ve finally found a good Japanese language school to attend online and catching up with your videos is incredible. Please never stop, they’re great!

I've never sat through a 50 min video unless it was a movie . The time stamps helped and your pace was perfect as always ! (day 2 of my revision )

You are a tremendous teacher. I am resuming my Japanese lessons with my instructor after a year off and I've been using you to study up for my first lesson back and I feel like I never left it. Never been more prepared for a lesson! Thank you so much. Liked and subbed!

ね is used in german slang aswell in the same manner. Its also pronounced the same. "Es ist heiss, ne?" would be "its hot, right?"

as a canadian as SOON as i read the bit on 'ne' i was like "oh this is literally just a japanese way to say 'eh' that's cool" so thank you for bringing that up

Incredible, incredible lessons.
Super clear delivery. Good pacing (for me).

And for people who have always struggled with listening comprehension like myself, the slow and fast readings is a massive cherry on top of the already amazing cake.

8:30 perfectly describes me! I got partially through Lesson 3 and thought to myself, "oh wow, this seems like the 'sink or swim' point, " and it's indeed exactly the reason I looked around and found your channel. Thank you for these videos!

Hello! I've been self-teaching myself how to speak Japanese using the Genki workbooks, but I was having trouble learning properly since I had no one to teach me how to properly pronounce some of the words or how to use some of the sentence structures, so I'm really glad I managed to find your videos detailing all of the lessons in Genki. Thank you so much! You made things very clear and concise and easy to follow. ありがとうございます, 先生。

I actually say ここはどこですか a lot, since I am learning Japanese with a cat named Koko. She is very naughty and I often have to ask where she is 🙃

I just started genki earlier this year and felt lost and stuck on many parts during the early lessons. I hope that if you continue to the end of Genki 2 with this, I will be able to follow along accordingly to your upload schedule.

You somehow made 50 minutes of learning not feel like 50 minutes of learning. I've started using your videos as supplementary material after I go through a lesson and so far it's been helping a lot!

I just got to say, bananas are sweet. The longer they are left to ripen, the greater the sugars develop in the banana. They're delicious. Don't eat bananas too early. Let them sit a couple of days.
