Another great provision FDR made for America’s working class. My father was a dirt poor kid from Brooklynn New York when he joined the Army at 16 years old. (My grandmother signed an emancipation decree allowing him to join underage in 1948). The GI Bill got my father through to a masters degree eventually and a very lucrative career. God bless FDR, the greatest American president ever.

Veterans do NOT get the care that they need these days…. It’s absolutely disgusting. Those people went through hell for their country. They deserve better

The GI bill did not benefit black veterans tho. It’s evil and wicked to deny 1.2 million black veterans their rightful benefits of the GI bill.
