Most Rust players seem to prefer 90 fov, but after playing for years at 90 and switching to 70, I intend to keep it that way for better spotting and aiming.

You can also set a hot key to change FOV to 90 if you want and switch back after. Ik that some people set it to right click so that when you zoom you get easier shots and when your done it goes back to 90.

I use mouse wheel to toggle between 90 and 70 works well for stuff like this

You can also keybind something to zoom in when you want to see farther away, like binding rifht click to zoom so you can shoot far away, or maybe a mouse button or something

I use 90 and bind toggle 70 while pressing on my right click. You get better aim while you aim

I use left control as an on the fly fov change it can make or break those long range fights BIND BELOW
bind leftcontrol ~graphics.fov 90 ;+graphics.fov 60 (you can ofc change left control to ur liking if the bind doesnt work for you try flipping the 90>60 60>90)

Compromise between 70 and 90 is to buy ultra wide monitor and use 70fov.

I feel like if you play with an 90 Fov long enough you get used to it It's pretty easy to spot people. Unless they're In a white out kit or A camo kit

i use 90 fov and a hotkey to switch/ zoom to i think 50-70fov i cant remember

I just use a macro, 110 when roaming, and the second I hit my mouse 4 button, it switches to 55. I let go of mouse 4, goes back to 110.

you can set skins to default skins for everyone on your client side end

Yeah, lower fov tends to work better for me in most games. Higher fov also makes me feel further away from targets, which can mess me up when going up against a shotgun for example.
