An alkaline wash will do better than a ph neutral wash but ultimately an acid wash will unclog the coating the best. And foam doesn't change how the chemical adheres to the paint, it only increases dwell time

My Honda civic is ceramic coated, does this on the bottom rocker panels by the end of the week I daily drive it 30 miles a day, road dirt gets on sides and there’s no hydrophobics, foam rinse foam and two bucket method with carpro reset and it’s back to insane water beading
