I was surfing Santa Cruz and got invited to be in the crowd scene for the concert, my first year in the army, good times...

I just love the super cool 80’s vibe in lost boys and I feel like these are just the coolest vamps.

Introduced my kids to the lost boys last year. They loved it. Movies today just cannot compete with the greats we grew up with.

"My own brother, a goddamn sh** sucking vampire - you wait til mom finds out, buddy!" 😂 Great movie -bought it on video back in the day.

That saxophone player was actually a real sax player and he toured with Tina Turner for her Private (edited from Tiny hahahaha) Dancer release back in the 80's . I actually saw him play live when they came to Atlanta

Ngl, the "Vampires lose their weakness if you let them in" rule was honestly a pretty amazing addition to the nosferatus lore that even gave us a surprising plot twist. This is how vampires should be reinvented, Stephanie "Spark Spark" Meyers

In the movie "Day Shift" character played by Snoop Dog says at the end "That's what I love about LA: all the damn vampires." i think thats a reference to the grandpa saying "One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach: all the damn vampires"

I loved this movie and I’m fascinated with how they portrayed vampiric existence, they could literally fly harnessing the wind and seemingly break the laws of physics on a whim.

The dog definitely held its own in this movie. It was a big help.

This movie has one of the most legendary endings in cinema history. No romantic goodbye kisses, cliffhangers or terrible puns. Just an old man casually grabbing a drink and complaining about how annoying vampires have always been after taking care of the Lord of the undead and a fade to black.
If this is not cinema at its pinnacle, I don't know what it is 🚬🗿

This movie is perfect and will always be one of my favorites. If they had put a portrait of Max in the hotel, we would have lost that twist. We may have all suspected, but didn't actually know until the end that he was head vampire. But it would have been obvious if we had seen that portrait earlier on. I'm glad they left that as a twist

I always thought it was cool that David made Michael see the maggots and the worms in order that he wouldn't believe that the bottle was blood. Really cool.

The kids were the best thing about this movie. The Frog brothers are adorably tough, and Sam literaly reacts to his brother's aggressiveness as if he had caught him having sex in their parents' bedroom. Today's cinema needs children like these in its films more than ever.

i never thought about it, but they eat real food, which is opposite of most vamp movies like Near Dark. That is kinda awesome

I think you might of missed a suggested subplot about the grandfather? I think he might have been half turned as well, but seemed to be unaware of who the head vampire was. He obviously knew about the vampires, had fortified his house against them, seemed to be hiding from them by staying out of town and was oddly stern about everyone staying away from his special “beer”. I think Starr proves that a half breed can stay half breed and even make it a controllable state without actually having to fully turn. Though taxidermy is a hobby for some it is indeed odd, but could also be supplying a source of blood to help quench the grandfathers urge to feed that he hides in his special “beer” bottles???

One of the most iconic vampire movies of all time and one of the best actors Kiefer Sutherland was amazing as that bad guy in many movies but is so good at portraying them, especially with his dyed blonde hair and attitude, keep up the great work man loved your work for a long time and you always deliver especially since I don’t know a lot of YouTubers that cover vampires and werewolves like you do that much and know how to make it simple but also give a good sense of humor

I love the Lost Boys because I don't live far from Santa Cruz and I recognize some of the locations shot in this movie.
