Just want to say that I've been watching all your videos and nobody explains the basics as well as the advanced like you do. After watching this video I immediately ordered 2 Seachem Tidal 75's, and I've had them for about a week and a half now and I'm actually seeing the positive results of these HOB's. Thank you for making this video because it has truly educated me.

What a great 💡 I can’t believe I haven’t thought of separating the poly from FX6 canister and place it in HOB for easy replacement. Brilliant!!!! Seachem does have solid and trusted products, great to see you spotlighting great companies.

Well done Kev . Little hack for anyone i traced out the blue filter with some egg crate and made a bracket to sit on top to hold everything in works really well if you do it right.

The best aquatic Youtuber !! The MVP in the aquazone!! Your tips are the best ! Your helped me a teenager, to fully understand and enjoy the hobby without death of fish, ammonia spikes etc. Thanks to your video i can now sit and enjoy my beautiful 60 litres tank(15.85 gallon) !

I just put an FX6 and 407 on my 90 gallon overstocked peacock tank but kept seeing particles in the water. Thankfully I stumbled across this video! I had a spare Tidal 110 laying around! Stuffed it with some polyfil and within a few hours the water was crystal clear! As usual, thanks for the tip, Kev!

I've always loved Tidal HOBs! I also love to use over-filtration. I have a 75G with a Fluval FX-6 and I have a 36G bow front that I use the Tidal 110 for. The Tidal is whisper quiet and keeps my water crystal clear. For the Tidal setup, I use the coarse pad at the bottom, then a polish fill, then a bag of Purigen, then the biomedia bag included which helps hold everything down. I'll never use any other HOB than Tidal!! In addition, for both aquarium filters, I use a large pre-filter sponge for the intake! It make s a HUGE difference on the amount of gunk that gets caught and extends the filter maintenance even further, which in turn prevents me from disturbing all the beneficial bacteria I have in my filters!

This video was posted with perfect timing. I’ve been researching the Tidal filter for a while now. Reading reviews and looking to see who offered this filter at the best price. I want to use the filter for the same purpose of this video, as a polishing filter. I have a overstocked 55 gallon Cichlid tank. I’m using a Fluval FX6 and a Fluval 407 and wanted a add a HOB filter as a polisher. Thanks for making this video Kev. Seeing the features compared to reading the features sealed the deal for me. Now all we needed was for the company to give you a code for your Subscribers to make a purchase. I will be entering the contest, wish me luck LOL. Keep the videos coming Kev. Kev, you and Seachem make a great team. I would not be a successful keeper without you both!! I have two 20’s, a 45 and a 40. Now that Seachem has a great new filter, I’m looking at a 50 for my two red parrots. 💜💜💜

Kev... As I move and grow in this hobby you have been such a tremendous help... Thank you for this video ordered mine today. I have a 125 gallon... And I had Geo's and rainbow fish and this makes so much sense. Every time I need help I'll go to your University thanks professor Kev... Keep the science coming brother ✌🏾

Kevin you are getting better and better with your presentations. The polyfil is a quick fix but not optimal in the long run. I prefer dense foam approach. If good quality it will be reusable for many months, if not years. Simply rinse, squeeze it out and done. I've own the Tidal 110 and definitely recommend it. Having a surface skimmer is a major plus for oxygen exchange and gas release, many overlook its importance. Please let your audience know that purigen is rechargeable unlike carbon. Be blessed.

Great idea! I watched this video a few weeks ago and decided to try this. 3 months ago, I went with a Cascade 1000 canister filter and removed my Tidal 110. The Tidal was just sitting there in the box doing nothing, so I pulled it out of "retirement". I used the blue sponge, a bunch of polyfill, then a mesh bag of Seachem matrix on top to hold the fluffy polyfill down. I turned the flow down to about 1/2, because my tank is only a 55. The Cascade 1000 does a good job by itself, but this certainly took it up a notch! My tank has never been cleaner!!!

Love the video. 100s of videos out there on the tidal series but this one is head and shoulders above them all! Great practical use guide. Can’t wait to see more.

I don't have Instagram. But this is a must for my new tank coming in on Friday. Super excited! Thanks Kev and seachem!

I had to recently quit the hobby due to health issues, but I used to run 2 seachem tidal 110s on my 55g and the water was always crystal clear

Tidal 35 is my go to for quarantine tank. Super simple to set up with some seeded media and break down when not in use.

both Marineland and Fluval self-prime. The Fluval you have to initially fill it, but if the power goes off the Fluval will restart unless it's off for weeks and the water evaporates. the Marineland has the pump on the front. i do like the way the water comes in through the bottom

Hey Kev, THANK YOU for your review of this filter. My filter, Aqueon 75 pro just crapped on me and was about to buy another one when an advertisement for Tidal 55 popped up, which led me to your video 👏👏👏🙌, it arrived today! Ty
