Start9 is one of my favorites. My only issue with them at the moment, is the lack of support for remote VPNs like Tailscale or Zerotier, forcing users to rely on slower and less reliable Tor connections.

Hi Darren, after watching your good tutorial here I got inspired to buy my own plug and play server one and have installed it and it connects fine. However, when I enter w my pw the fun stops.. For reason I can not figure out the server does not connect to the start9 marketplace when I am logged in even though its all green/connected. I have tried logging in through another browser and also tried to restart but w/o any improvement. Would u have experience w any of this ?

good content, thanks:) maybe stupid question but anyway:) If you would want to do it super simple and easy and thus just buy the Start9 Server One, does it then come shipped w everything preinstalled for running the btc node as a plug and play or would you still need to do some DIY stuff still?

If you only need a pi4 with a high endurance SD card, where would you store all the blockchain data of Bitcoin? Do I need an external SSD or HDD for this?

Also, I'd like to know if connecting the ethernet cable to pi4 is okay while controlling the software via my laptop's wifi (same router). Thanks.

Thanks for the video, Ive been lookin for good videos and yours help me out a lot, Let me ask you a technical questions, If there is a power interruptions during the download of Bitcoin Core, it would restart from the beginning, or it will continue from the point it was cut off?

“The largest consensus rule set” doesn’t vote on what is “Bitcoin”. This is a common misconception.

Neutered nodes cannot facilitate transactions and are dependent on 3rd party miners.

Mining hash power and their full-node protocols choose what is Bitcoin.

In “the block size wars”, certain exchanges and their advocation/omission of certain forks had a more significant impact on Bitcoin than what the neutered-nodes chose to run.

What will happen to my bitcoin wallets if I ever happen to move and be unplugged for a couple of days? And I also want to know what will happen if a war breaks out and the only thing I can hold to run away is a hardware wallet. Since they are all connected to a single node it seems to me that the funds could be inaccessible.
