It's hard to find blues lessons for beginners, especially in open g tuning, this was really helpful

This definitly takes some practice. Getting the rhythm is kinda tough but so much fun when you start getting it. Great lesson!

Hi John
I recently signed up for a month. I consider myself and advanced player. I find some of your lessons to be challenging and the others, the simplistic basics are necessary to revisit like this lesson. It's easy to get bored with a basic shuffle. But your lesson is spot on. This is how you add zest to your playing. Youre a great guitar player and a better teacher. I look forward to your study when I return from my trip. Please, play on!

You don't only get stuck but tired of playing Blues without variation... which is exactly why I'm looking for videos like this right now.

I needed this to get me out of a rut and not too difficult. I would love to hear lesson in different key. I play so many songs in E :)

Thank you John! I'm an advanced beginner and this lesson was a real break through for me! I've had trouble playing transition notes between chords and this lesson really helped me. Thanks! I dig the guitar!
