How FAR can an Airbag Launch a Football?!

We have all seen the airbag prank videos but how far can an airbag launch a football? In this video I try to see how far I can get a football down the field using just an airbag! I also try to get a field goal using an airbag.

The airbag shot out of the sides because it'd normally have walls on each side (the steering wheel/airbag housing) that would force it to go out of the weaker front.

There is no difference between 12v and 9v because its the explosive that deploys the airbag, if there is enough voltage to ignite the explosive, it will work just fine. So basically it was a faulty airbag. :)

The 12 volts over 9 volts doesn't matter some airbags can even work with 1.5 volts that's why its dangerous to install or remove airbags, so even the static electricity can make a airbag go off.

I think if the ball would go further if you moved it away from the airbag and allowed the airbag to impact the ball like a kickers foot. Its just pushing it when you set it against it. A kicker impacts the ball not push it.
