The Challenges of Gender-Inclusive Language

There have been lots of studies on the gendering of language. And comparisons have been made of gender equality in countries with gendered, natural gender and genderless languages.
However, the issue in this video is not societal but purely linguistic. So, although others have theorized about the connection between grammatical gender in language and societal gender equality, the article on which this video is based briefly discloses the genesis of the trend and examines the difficulties posed particularly to English, if any, German and the Romance languages.
