Nick Saban is the right guy for the job, because they already have defensive peace’s, but you can’t hire the GM first you have to hire him first, so he has input into who the GM with be, also you need to be prepared to lose OBJ, you can’t pay a receiver more than a QB and still win a super bowl.

Saban's system doesn't work well in the NFL though. At least Harbaugh makes sense. He had the worst ownership probably in SF and still took his team with a dominant defense and below average offense to a SB.

Saban is 1 or 2 championships away from topping Bear Bryant as the greatest ever. He moved his elderly mother to Mt Brook, alabama.A rich suburb 10min outside Bham..He almost 70, elderly mother is happy, Has his lake house a hour away from Tuscaloosa..Then his daughter & son n law have local jobs&Sabans 1st grandchild that's only 3/4yrs old..I can't see Saban so close to breaking Bears record with the players already there, saying screw it & telling his 90yr old mom& 3/4yr old grand kid, , Where moving and starting all over n New york

Saban coached the Doplhins for one year because he knew he couldn't cut it in the NFL. He got out as fast as he could. Chip Kelly & Steve Spurrier are great examples of great college coaches who couldn't make it in the NFL. Saban is staying in college.
