It’s growing on me, and because Mitch is hurt and IHart left, we needed a center bad.

I can't believe no one is mentioning how much Donte contributed to the Knicks!!!

Finally someone who understands the magnitude of this trade. This is huge, Brunson is the go to scorer when we need a bucket, KAT and Mikal are the other go to options and OG is our sleeping silent detonating scorer. Options options and more options with floor spacing no more double teaming.

If the Knicks stayed with Julius, they would be undersized. Plus Mitchell not gonna be ready until January. Knicks made the right move. KAT is a better player anyways n he wit Thibs.

He's a solid young man. He's been a stand-up guy for the Knicks. He's been active in the community. He's a family man, and he's a beast. He's not a perfect player, but he's a VERY good ball player. He put the Knicks on the right track and, many times put the Knicks on his back. He will be missed, I think, more than most know. To get KAT, you have to make this deal.

There are only two reasons why the Knicks wouldn’t have made this trade. One is that Jalen Brunson doesn’t become a superstar. The other is if Hartenstein re-signed. Brunson’s ascension to superstar level, something nobody saw coming, triggered this all in approach by the Knicks front office. But I fully also believe, if IHART resigns instead of going to OKC, the Knicks stay the way they are with bridges in the fold. Yes they stockpiled picks and stuff to go after an elite superstar…until they had one already in Jalen Brunson. The moment they realized that, the goal turned into building around him.

Rich is just the best. I love his riffs, so spot on and hits home. He's right... it was embarrassing to be a Knicks fan before Julius led us out of obscurity. We wouldn't be where we are today without him even if it was time for change. This is Brunsons team but it wouldn't look like it does today without JRs input. Give him his flowers he's earned it

Kinda reminds me of when the raptors traded demar derozen for kawhi and won the championship. Love randle but the knicks title chances are higher with kat

The Knicks atarting five is definitely better, but with Robinson injured and Hartenstein & DiVincenzo gone, the bench does not have much depth.

Nice hommage to Julius but Rich did sort of skip over the year when JR was terrible and tensions with fans were high, to say the least. Still, good player and I'll miss him; played with a lot of heart. He's also a career 33% shooter from 3; KAT's 40%.

People saying Kat is inconsistent. Julius was by far the most inconsistent player on the Knicks. His shooting percentage always dropped in the playoffs and he threw temper tantrums when he didn’t get his way.

I totally agree on the Randle aspect. He came when no one would. Thank u Randell for everything

Well we needed a center and we got a center. If we keep Mitch we have the ability to play big or really big, losing Donte hurts but it’s just more minutes for deuce . Gotta say great job by the front office.

What I think being missed here,
The front office has the team setup.
If they cant deliver in 3-4 years,
They will have superstar cap space
& picks to reload with and go again.
And ALL the stars will only be 32-33.

Should have kept Donte he scores and hard nose defense. Like Kat and his game but he's nowhere near as tough as Randle soft he show that weakness he showed In Minn when green had Rudy hemed he gonna get booed out of The Garden . Randle brungs that toughness, grit NY grit like back in the day when I was watching my Knicks
