i actually like bezels i don't think they are ugly wether its s8 or htc i like some sort of bezels otherwise it feels to fragile

the U 11 in solar red is the one to get, but the amazing silver runs a close second. Active noise cancelling headphones are a nice addition.

The only thing where S8 wins is on the display. I have to admit that Super Amoled is the best panel. But in other aspects, It seems that the HTC is a better phone overall, and it's cheaper.

HTC u11 all the way. I like speed and the u11 is way faster and a powerhouse plus better battery life and updates

going from an HTC One M8 which was one of my favourite phones ever, based on its rugged unibody design and outstanding audio -- I wanted to upgrade to the S8+ but now I'm questioning that decision.

well depends on consumers. if they r following samsung from years they will probably call htc 11 shit without ever using an htc device. but i like new n different stuff. tired of samsung and iphone. htc will be a great new experience and sony xz also. just dont go for the looks man. buy the one that u think is suited for u. dont follow others have ur own choice.

Great review! Love my U11! I like the infinity display on the S8 but on terms of being comfy holding the phone on media consumption, I still like the U11. Resting it on my hands or fingers with the bezels in any angle doesn’t give me accidental screen presses. And the 5.5 inch is just perfect for me! And the amazing audio. The U11 always tempts me to listen to Spotify in the office all day. The ear phones and hires audio and DAC is just that good.

I have both! Htc u11 all day. Smoother experience when navigating through the phone. my s8 stutters occasionalfor no reason. I keep pressing bixby button by accident and takes ages to load. Iris scanner works perfect but you have hold the phone up unnaturally to scan. Did it for first week but now just type in pin. Forget fingerprint sensor. cameras excellent on both. Headphone audiouch better on HTC. No headphone Jack in annoying when needing to plug an aux lead in. Have to go look for headphone dongle. Also don't like the long aspect ratio personally it's too narrow. I wish I had got the s8plus as it's wider. always on display is great. Although Iprefer the look of the u11, it really is beautiful, you need the enclosed case, it's so slippery. overall u11 is better phone

Noticed you were in KC, if you dont mind me asking what Service Provider are you using and do you notice any difference in signal stregth between both devices (coming from a KC Watcher)

I would pick the HTC U11. My previous experience with Samsung's flagship phone wasn't very good (Galaxy S4). I think the screen looks awesome on the S8, can't speak for the U11, since I haven't seen it in stores yet. I don't understand why Samsung put the S8's finger print reader next to the camera. It's sort of a strange placement. For those reasons, I'd rather pick the U11.

which phone is better for long run? Because am using HTC 820 from last three year and didnt get any issue yet but i heard lots of Samsung users that Samsung devices not for that long term any suggestions?
