Havdalah, or “separation” in Hebrew, is Shabbat's closing ritual, when three stars appear on Saturday evening. In a simple multi-sensory ceremony, with blessings over lights, wine or grape juice, and spices, Havdalah is an inspiring way to end Shabbat and start the new week as a family.

Shavua Tov!! It’s specific to all Judaism ✡️ to start and finish Shabbat according to the laws HaShem gave us.❤

Traditionally in synagogues the youngest girl holds the candle. At the ending, everyone puts the pinkie finger in wine snd touches with it the part of the body where they need the blessing to occur

Is that specific to orthodox Judaism? Or Judaism as a whole?

Why do you take wine onto your pinky fingers and rub across the forehead and behind the ears. Only do the men do that or do women too

These rituals are not in the Tora or Bible
