Current Amazon deal has these at less than 23.00 shipped for a pair. Awesome!

Those SMA to BNC adapters are a must for just about any HT. Great video man, thanks

I am fine with clips on batteries. I love my pair of RT-85s. The Radioddity GM-30 USB Chargeable batteries work on these radios. It was a pain figuring out how to display my names for frequencies and repeaters. But they responded overnight with terse instructions that were accurate. Good review.

Interesting. I just received a pair of these. My plan is to give one away to a new ham or loan it out when needed.. I'll look out for your project video.

If you got one of these from September 2022 and onward you need to hold F and 4 during power up to unlock the expanded frequencies. F+1 and F+7 will enable VFO but will not expand the freq.

I saw the offset can't be typed. You have to press the up or down arrow to get the offset you need. Do you know if retevis has changed it to where you can type the offset?

Is this a radio a novice can use for use in the woods or camping. Yeh know put on a channel and communicate or do you have to program them before use or can you just turn on and use? Help please or is the rt27 something I should use?

Hey Jason, very interesting. It looks and behaves similarly to my Radioddity GM-30. Trouble for me has been finding a GMRS tuned antenna for it. Which signal stick (band) are you using there? Thanks for the review. Cool little radios.

I'm with you on the belt clips unless they want to include one with every spare battery. ;-)

Anytime a product review is one where the company gifted said product, i'm immediately skeptical. That being said, what did we learn? What is the power output? How long does that battery last? Etc etc.

Chinese batteries usually come with belt clips

Will this one work better on digital, like APRS?
