Keema Pulao
Ingredients:
Oil 1/4 cup
Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
Whole black pepper 1 tbsp
Star anise 2
Green cardamom 4-5
Cinnamon sticks 2-3
Black cardamom 2-3
Beef mince 1 kg
Onion (sliced) 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tbsp
Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
Cumin powder 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tbsp
WaterYogurt 1 cup
Potato cubes 2-3
Water 1 ½ cup + 7 cups
Soaked rice 4 cups
Directions:
1. In a pot heat oil and add cumin seeds, whole black pepper, star anise, green cardamom, cinnamon sticks, black cardamom and cook for a minute.
2. Now add beef mince and cook until mince changes color. Add onion and cook for 2-3 mins. Now add ginger garlic paste and give it a good mix. Add coriander powder, red chili flakes, cumin powder, salt and mix it again.
3. Add 1 ½ cup of water and cover and cook until mince is fully done. Now add yogurt and cook for 3-4 mins.
4. Add potatoes and mix them well. Cover and cook until potatoes are fully done.
5. Now add 7 cups of water and bring it to a boil. Add rice and cook until 80% water dries out.
6. Now cover and steam over low flame for 10-12 mins.
7. Your Keema Pulao is ready. Serve and enjoy.
