I have used Midea brand products, replacing whirlpool. I haven’t had any issues out of my Midea dishwasher. Bought it brand new in 2021 expecting it to break down in a year but it’s been running strong, no issues. I also have a garage fridge that’s a Midea brand too, 4 years old no issues too.

I have been happy with my Whirlpool appliances and intend to buy from them or Speed Queen when I require new ones. Most of my friends who have bought newer Whirlpool's have had decent service and reliability from them for modern appliance standards.

I have my Speed Queen TR7 Washer. It’s better than I imagined. I would completely recommend one

Midea is one of the largest Chinese companies. They actually have good products and whirlpool has been on a decline now for years since they started the VMW washers. They're not competing at all with the high-end manufacturers that are taking over.
It's like whirlpool is giving up

I agree, I am a Whirlpool lover forever. Whirlpool has the most durable appliances. Chinese products are very substandard, they make a lot of landfill. I hope Whirlpool kicks their @$$!!!

1990 Whirlpool direct drive washing machine best one ever made. It still works after replacing original motor, transmission, and clutch this year. Water mixing valve replaced 5 years ago. Whirlpool tech told me to keep fixing it and he said my wash basin is better than today's crap.

What's your opinion on hisense refrigerators in terms of reliability? I would assume its not very good however there appears to be a lot of media bias that would suggest otherwise. At least where I live.

I think may the best manufacturer win. If you build quality appliances that hold up well and word of mouth reinforces that quality talk. I'll buy it. If Whirlpool makes an excellent product i'll buy it. But if Whirlpool starts building junk like the mid 80s Ford cars. I will buy another brand. I don't care if it was made in America or the Congo if its built well..

Im tired of all the Chinese junk taking over the stores. Went to Menards the other day and they only had Chinese brands in stock. No American anything.

Well I can actually understand why they want Whirlpool especially in the European market as Whirlpool owns quite a few major brands over here like Bauknechtin Germany, the Merloni company(with the Indesit brand), Privileg in Germany, Ariston and Hotpoint in the UK too(and maybe even more). And those brands are widely known over here😭
