Kerala Nipah Scare: Samples Of 8 Direct Contacts Of Nipah Victim Turns Negative, More Samples Tested

Samples of the eight people from Kerala who came in contact with the 12 year old boy, who recently passed away due to Nipah virus, have come negative. The samples were sent to Pune National Institute of Virology. Many people had come in contact with the deceased boy.

The parents of the victim are still said to be symptomatic. Five more samples have been tested at Kozhikode medical college lab. Kerala health minister Veena George has informed that a lab has been set up at Kozhikode MCH for testing samples.
