It's an automatic felony for every firearm you steal, in California, if you're a felon caught with a firearm, you get the felony for the gun and a felony for every single bullet you have in your possession.

How irritating for the cops for the ATF to roll in to say "These kids broke all these rules." Just for the cops to be like "Yeah, we know." But then the ATF is like "Right but when we heard about the first break in we made up 17 new rules about it, so we've got more charges." Then the ATF raided every house and shot all of the dogs.
