Stunning Cloud Formation Over Mountain Range

Cloud’s about that! These are the stunning scenes of lenticular clouds passing over windswept mountain ranges.

The clouds, which were spotted over a day near Flagstaff, Arizona, were captured by Bryan Snider, 30, a photographer from Phoenix, Arizona.

The clouds mirror a stack of pancakes and form near mountain ranges downwind. As moist air flows over the mountain it creates ‘standing waves’ which help form the clouds.

Love these lenticulars. We'd call them UFO clouds.
When I lived in Sedona, a majestic place of red rock formations, 30-40 minute drive south of Flag, at 4500'+ elevations, we'd get them there, as well. I also had the interesting experience of seeing many UFOs, during my residence there.
We surmised that perhaps spaceships were cloaked in these clouds.
I also saw lenticulars over Mt. Shasta in Northern California, as I was on a road trip, passing through in the Winter.
Loved seeing the San Francisco Peaks in this video. I have many fond memories of the region, the home of the Hopi Kachinas.
