The moment immediately after this really adds insult to injury, at least for Ezra. 'Cause Darth Vader cuts Ezra's lightsaber in two and knocks Ezra to the ground. Whereupon Ezra tries to crawl away, clearly afraid, and Vader simply says "Perhaps I was wrong."
