I'm glad to see you endorsing martial arts training, since thats my main exercise regime and I've shared this channel so much as an alternative to the standard "just lift, bro" advice to guys who want to get active.
Movement training and striking training go hand in hand and can provide a way to avoid burnout and increase confidence.

I recommend filling with silicone sand instead. Rice grains will break over time. The broken rice grains may cause punctures which will then let bugs into the bag. It can also spoil

Danger Warning. You can do serious long term harm to your hands. I got my first rice bag when I was 11 I studied Shaolin Sim lum for years. Every time you work on the bag, do the same amount of work (punching) into thin air. Or when you’re older you’re hands will be useless. I’m 60 and can pick up small coins and have no problems threading a needle. Stay flexy.

So the thing about Iron training is that you punch something(wood, rice bag, even metal) is to put micro fractures in your bones, those fractures with heal and strengthen your bones.

Be careful with violent actions when you are angry. It will make violence associative with frustration and anger and might lead to behaviors that will take a lot of effort to unlearn.

I recommend just doing breathing exercises and distracting yourself when you are frustrated and angry.

Jiu Jitsu is the martial art for you because it’s essentially involuntary yoga. (in all seriousness, i think you have a fantastic background for Jits since you have great control over your body and that’s the biggest hurdle for new students) i’d love to see you give it a shot!

Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge you’ve attained on your unique bodybuilding journey. Your exercises are helping immensely in my practicing Bagua Zhang. One of the 3 main forms of Internal Gong Fu, in many ways it is the martial evolution of principles you’ve keyed in on; such as balance, tendon/ligament conditioning, core training, and usability of all the muscles in the body. Since I started following your channel I’ve been curious how fast somebody with your skills could learn Bagua Zhang, which is considered one of the most difficult forms due to the unorthodox body mechanics.
