Parashat Ki Tisa 5785 | Purim and the Golden Calf

When Moses saw the people worshipping the Golden Calf, he shattered the Tablets of the Ten Commandments. Far from being an angry reaction, there is something far deeper at work here -- Moses set into motion a process that was to forever change our lives and our relationship with God, and herein lies the profound difference between the first and second set of tablets. And in Divine synchronicity, this Torah portion conveys a stirring message for the holiday of Purim that we shall be celebrating this week. Jerusalem Lights wishes everyone a joyous Purim!

The Torah portion of Ki Tisa (Exodus 30 : 11 - 34 : 35) is read on Shabbat, 15 Adar 5785 - Shushan Purim - March 15, 2025

Purim is observed in most of the world starting Thursday evening March 13 - Friday March 14 (14 Adar)

Lovingly Recorded in Ora Studios, Jerusalem Israel

“But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD. I will put My law in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts.” Yirmeyahu 31:33
Do you see this beginning to be fulfilled today?
Fascinating teaching. HalleluYah.

Thank you so much!
I feel so much calmer about Torah after I listen to your teachings...
I am reading right now the part about King balak and the prophet balim...
And I would love to hear a teaching from you about this...
Because I maybe I should just check my translation but in my translation..
It appears that the Lord tells Balim go...
And then is displeased when he goes...
To the point of wanting to kill him with the angel of the Lord...
I would love to hear your teaching and open my heart and see the deeper meaning of this.
