I live in a red state and they do not allow us to put anything on the ballot, no matter how many signatures we get. So the lawmakers in our state (that I did not vote for) made abortion without exemptions the law. So, please tell me how putting it “back to the states” is allowing us to have a say?

You can argue all day about the morality of using abortion as birth control but we're not talking about this anymore. We're talking about women carrying nonviable pregnancies that are being left to die because the doctors are so scared of going to prison for treating her condition.

That's the reality we're in and that's why abortion rights are so important.
