The 2021 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition is Toyota's Final Send Off to the Series 200 LC

The #ToyotaLandCruiser is the oldest running nameplate in the Toyota lineup. For 2021, the #LandCruiserHeritageEdition is the sayonara given by #Toyota to the #Series200 generation, which has been around since 2008. There are rumors that Toyota will bring the #LandCruiser back as a more purpose built and less expensive off-roader, but this 2021 version should very well become a collectors item for those of you who can afford its $85k price tag.

Hey guys! So this video was filmed before Toyota confirmed that 2021 would be the last model year of the series 200 Land Cruiser in the US. They have no commented on when it would return, but there are rumors saying it could come back in 2023 as a Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco competitor. We're keeping our fingers crossed that Toyota gives this nameplate the proper revival it deserves, especially with so many new off-road lifestyle SUV coming to marker in the next couple years!

I got my 2020 LC $20, 000 off. The dealer was scared that it wouldn’t sell due to COVID just starting.. great deal!!!!

All land cruisers will become collectible. I bought mine before the announcement and got a great deal. Now they are going over sticker. This is the best vehicle in the world. You can drive it from Anchorage to Argentina no problem. It’s the most capable durable reliable vehicle ever made and will go down as the most sought after Toyota ever. Ford expeditions and Yukon’s are around the same price 90 K. I can’t imagine buying one of those over a Land Cruiser. Unlikely Toyota ever brings it back to the United States. If you want one better get one soon and be prepared to pay big money. If you want the best do you have to pay to play

True facts: 1950s Land Cruisers are still running lol

Yes, it is time for Toyota to bring us a fully capable but non-luxurious Land Cruiser for thousands and thousands less. To give you an idea, in other markets you can buy a Land Cruiser with a cloth interior, 4.0 V6, steel wheels and tailgate doors like an Econoline Van. Let the Lexus LX handle the luxury duties. We will see if the recent sales surge of Land Cruisers encourages Toyota to keep this flagship around. In terms of a much smaller and cheaper 'Land Cruiser', there is always the 2 door Prado which is already built alongside the 4Runner and GX. Give that Prado two-tone paint as well as a manual and call it the "Land Cruiser Classic". They could be on our roads competing with the base Wrangler before Ford ever gets that new Bronco in production. ;-)

I bought this truck because of the fact that it still largely analog, and tough and reliable as hell. The 2021 is the most perfected car since the 911. It has been around so long that 99% of the bugs and defects have been ironed out of it.

A couple of things. You can turn off the power tailgate and make it fully manual with the push of a button. This is the way I leave it most of the time. It is true that it does not have all the latest electronic toys, but this again was part of the reason I went with it. It honestly has all the features you will actually need without all the reliability issues you get with newer trucks (See Defender etc). This truck is just built like a tank, and that is the greatest thing about it. In the end I went with the LC HE because I never wanted to need to buy another truck.

I don't care if it doesn't have the latest tech, I would buy the Land Cruiser over a Range Rover, Benz or Audi!

The resale with these is all you need to know. Just saw a 15 year old one in craigslist the other day with 200k and they were still asking 20 grand. No other car with that kind of mileage is worth it. These aren't built for an enthusiast, they are built for someone who wants true quality and off road capability.

Nothing beats that old school big v8 with horrible gas mileage lol, but it probably could use more horsepower and efficiency

My sister in Colorado sold her 2000 LC with 200, 000 for a good price. Traded down to a Forester to help save the planet as the MPG for long hauls to Portland were just too much! Overall interior room was tight but comfortable and the V8 had good shove!

We tend to talk about modern ...but to real 4wd enthusiast things like airbag suspension and tons of electronics just don't work in the real world ....

I honestly don't understand what's to complain about, here? For folks who buy this legendary SUV MPG and Android Auto are irrelevant topics. Otherwise they'll be considering something like Range Rover or some other less capable and less reliable brands. If I had money I would buy this SUV over anything pretty much whether it's G-wagon, Range Rover or some other ones. When push comes to shove this is going to be the ultimate SUV that's going to get you out from any situation life may throw you at.

Only thing the landcruiser is lacking is a larger gas tank. If they could fit a 38 gallon tank it be easier to travel without making so frequent stops.

This will be a legend like the mid to late 90’s Supra’s, , , , Bet me! When they are gone, they are gone. In 5 years you might get 90% of your money back on this rare gem!😎
