They both are criminals, Bolsonaro and Lula. But Lula is more populist, is always dialoguing and acting with a certain diplomacy, while Bolsonaro adopts a political posture similar to that of a grouchy military man. Bolsonaro was insensitive to victims of Covid-19 and this clearly damaged his image, it was certainly one of the great pillars for him not to be reelected. Lula is not an excellent option, he just has a more moderate political stance.
