Ukrainian refugee family is welcomed in Wichita, Kansas

Due to the ongoing war in Ukraine, the Plegutsa family fled their home, and through the Uniting for Ukraine sponsorship program, were able to resettle in Wichita, Kansas. The International Rescue Committee in Wichita helped coordinate their sponsorship and is assisting them to secure housing, access to education, language training and other resettlement services.

The International Rescue Committee helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control of their future.
