Disneyland trip report October 2024 nerd shots and more

I took a trip to Disneyland in late October 2024 and this is the video that came from it. I took some good shots running around the park getting some beef footage of queue lines areas atmosphere the normal stuff.

The fancy Southwest plane is one in their State Flag series of liveries. That’s a nice one. The Maryland one really sharp, too. I only got the fantasyland side of Backpain: The Ride. Thank goodness for the single rider line! The Blue Bayou is nice. I had the 46 dollar sandwich there.

I've been to Disney World twice and have seen videos since here & there. DL looks a lot different.
Been on PotC ride before they added Jack Sparrow (I'm fine with that) and wokenessed some of it.
From the the gift shoppe I have...
I have a heavy wood flintlock pistol without an orange cap.
A game that shoots plastic cannon balls shoot at cardboard & plastic pirate ships.
I do appreciate the different styles of Minnie Mouse ears the girls buy. Would be easy to have a collection.

I'm more an amusement park compared to theme park person. But it was fun riding WDW...

Interesting see DL ground zero. Carowinds is in NC and SC as you know. I think a sign in front of a theatre is the state line.

Re: Photos vs Video. At least they let you take still frame photos! You can get a way with a lot of stuff with a phone imho I still use a compact Canon R400 camcorder. A HalloWeekends Screamster slider said "Is that a camcorder. Amazing." yeah and then they invented fire.
I often take video clips then make screengrabs then trash the mp4 to make "Photos"

Re: Planes. My friend's daughter is a new airline pilot. They watched her land an airplane into a major airport in high winds. They were so proud of how she compensated for it. They shared a phone video on facebook.

That walk from your hotel is barely longer than the walk from Disney's parking garages. Disney has trams that can take you most of the way, but they weren't running the last couple times I went.

Why are there wheels at the entry and exit of the Big Thunder LIMs?

SNA (Orange County/John Wayne) airport is another great airport to fly into if going to Disneyland.

Usually if they don't use brake and full thrust reversers it' because the taxiway and gate they were designated are near the end.
