For those that don't know this, Bruno Mars co-wrote/produced and sang background on this song. Many don't get Bruno is an old soul. They only equate him with pop music. But as time passes they'll see he does everything. His preteen years He up to about 15 he sang lead in his father's Doo-Wop band. Then formed his own teen group singing R/B which he does it VERY well. It's actually his niche.. he also used to produce hip hop artists and sing background as well. He's produced House Music tracks, Reggae, Trap too. Bruno doesn't like being put in a box with his music. He can, dance very well but he's not trying to be like MJ, he can shred the hell out of an electric guitar like the Prince. But he's not trying to be Prince either. He's not trying to fake being who he is either. For those that don't know Latina Magazine revealed in 2018 that Bruno also part Afro-Latino as well as Puerto Rican & Filipino he's also part European too. That's his real afro, people think he has a perm to get it curly, nope all his naturally. He's multiracial and technically represents all races. He's well respected by all the original pionners from Uncle Charlie, Smokey Robinson, Babyface, Jimmy Jam, Teddy Riley, Stevie Wonder, etc. That's the music he grew up to and wants to keep doing. Bruno does grown folks music more than people think. But all ages love him.
