A thoughtful approach to understanding those who are unwilling to listen to arguments against what they believe to be true.

Most people will likely interpret this video uniquely, and in accordance to their initial biases.

These firstly mentioned exercises are my thought process when confronted by an upcoming, and disagreed belief.
It's tactical to grasping better, and more openminded understanding.

mad respect to this woman who didn't take a rigid position on anything, and didn't try to invalidate everybody regardless of belief. However, since the subject of science denial is at hand, and dovetailing off her argument, climate scientists ask skeptics if they would change their collective mind with new information. I had to think about that. I'd say yes but with a caveat: climate scientists are willing to change theirs with new information.

No bias or agenda given in this talk. 🙄

It makes me laugh how she starts out with the excersize to imagine you might be wrong, but ends with how you might not succeed in changing someone else's mind to agree with you when you use this in your conversation as a tactic hahaha

Regarding "climate change", you cannot even begin to construct definition of what you are talking about (which would the other person understand) without already sharing some frameworks and communicating cooperatively.
By the way, i'm not sure why you would like people to understand or agree with you when you already feel justified in legislating and enforcing your measures. You already don't believe in consent and people learning from their own errors. YES, that's what you are arguing for - for passing laws that will no longer make it a matter of discussion, but a matter of crime. So this concern with science denial cannot be taken as genuine. You manipulate to weaken resistance, then establish your political precedent and then show no quarter. Politics is practiced as total war: war against body, kinship, property, language, culture, knowledge, trust and sanity of those you oppose. You cannot deny that and still demand that people surrender to your demands.
