When my daughter was 6-7 yo, she had this knack for picking up wild ducks!
We were at a park, and she interrupted me while I was reading a book..."Dad, this is a friendly duck!" said she with a Mallard in her hands.
Ten minutes later, she had another one.
By the end of the day, she had brought three ducks to show off!
I watched her walk up to several ducks and simply pick them up...they didn't run, they seemed to not even notice her!
Some she would pick up, say 'Hello!', and put them down again, others she would show to her friends!
To this day (she's 24 now)she has a gift when it comes to wild animals.
Some people are blessed.
