The fact that you were able to make the British seaside look sunny, warm and inviting, is a feat of colour grading Rob. Absolutely nailed it.

I gotta say Rob, your videos are by far the best edited and informative on you tube.. The filming and slow mo shots are on point too. Kudos aplenty! Cracking vid👍🏻👍🏻

Fair play for keeping the "crash footage" in the vid.🤙

Also being 6'-3" and having recently ridden the Dune XR and the Dune RR I think it's safe to say that most riders of the XL frame are best off limiting fork travel to the 170mm spec of the Dune RR rather than the 180mm spec of the Dune XR. Keep the stem 35mm or shorter (and fit some higher rise bars if you must) but I'd agree that the chainstays are not long enough in relation to the XL frame's reach to run the fork at 180mm without feeling like you need to ride with consistent attention to weighting the front end (regardless of what you do with the cockpit). That's a riding position that some aggressive riders and pro racers seem to prefer, but I can't adapt to it. At 170mm of fork travel the XL Dune RR had a more balanced ride with good front traction, and a more synced feel in regard to the fork and shock bearing an equal amount of the work load (I rode with the shock compression one click from fully open on a 502 spring).

Also, Mondraker has elected to leave the negative air chamber volume spacer in place on the Ohlins fork. Those familiar with it know that removing it makes it more plush off the top and ride a little lower in its travel like a Fox 38. I prefer more support off the top instead of the added plushness, so I plan to leave the negative spacer in place and fit a 170mm air spring to a Dune XR while reducing the shocks coil spring rate to 480.

The production level is so high that I am barely able to fight the urge to just cancel work for today and go ride in the autumn forest 😇 Well done Rob! (the bike and motor really seem to be that eMTB sweetspot)

Sexy bike, but that seat tube height is an absolute deal breaker. No modern bike should have this issue anymore imo

Is this the most beautifully filmed eMTB review ever? People are saying. The bike doesn't hurt the eyes but the quality of production certainly elevates the viewer experience. Gorgeous bike, spectacular setting and highly skilled camera work.

As to the bike. Interupted seat tubes don't play well with droppers. One Up would be the obvious choice and AXS alsmost seems like a lazy spec choice. How cleanly can you run a cable around that tunnel?

Bike Engineering 101, Lesson 1:
Make a frame that can take a 200mm dropper insertion depth in all sizes. It can be done…

Putting a 50 mm rise bar on the bike with a short rear end and then complaining about front wheel traction 🙌🏻

That's one gorgeous looking bike in Duracell colours..!

I love Mondrakers, but hate that they have short seat post insertion abilities limiting the drop of the seat length. This has stopped me from owning one. At the 11:10 mark you have the seat slammed and there's a good 12" of room still. The AXS post stack is high, but still plenty of room to drop . Too bad the shock mount doesn't allow for a longer dropper.

Also, it seems like your seat could go higher. During your hill climb it looked like you could get mor extension in your legs. Great video as always.

Here just to say how beautiful and amazing Sintra mountain is…🌳🌿 The best shots are from that magical place…Rob edition, on several occasions, mixes footage places…with the newest Levo SL same thing happened…

I have the RR in medium, , removed that spacer from the air chamber in the fork and upped it to 180. It's epic!
