Imagine having to be told not to publicly humiliate your kids

Seriously folks, keep those photos in the photo album and show them as needed, do not post them online where you don’t have control over how those photos will circulate anymore.

it is so sad that we have to take the precautions to protect children and ONE MONTH OLDS from predators

When this younger generation gets older and sees all the embarrassing things posted online by their parents, I guarantee the nursing homes will be at full capacity

It's safest to not post your child's face online at all. If you want people to see pictures, send them directly via text or a Christmas card or something.

I wish blogging families would take this into consideration. For once.

I think for child safety, no photos of them should be posted on social media via any public account!

This is so important, but you missed one: don’t post photos of kids with their school uniform, and don’t post where or what time of the day they’re at school. This can be used by kidnappers

no child that didnt decide for themselves should be on social media.

lukewarm take: your child shouldn't be posted online (or be allowed to post anything themselves) until you can accurately explain the precautions required to exist safely on the internet and they understand them FULLY. I thankfully didn't have photos like this taken of me and posted online (i think if i was born more recently my mother 100% would have) but I was definitely online wayyy too early. protect your kids, people. that's your job.

Another one is the "first day of school photos".. where im at in australia, every school has a uniform and local schools all have pretty different uniforms. Its very easy to just google and find which school a child attends if the parent doesnt out right say it in the post. And most parents, especially on facebook, have no privacy settings

People actually shouldn’t be posting their kids in general. Children have no place in social media .
