With Inkscape you can design any kind of graphic.
In this video I show how you can create multiple concepts of an infinite logo with the spiro path (from bézier tool).

--------

The major thing to learn here is the process :
To combine shapes you need to convert them into paths ( Ctrl+Shift+C).
For objects with stroke you convert into path and convert the stroke into path ( Ctrl+Alt+C ) and you break apart or separate them ( Ctrl+Shift+K). You can use difference ( Ctrl + - ) to remove the inside part of an object like O or a. You can also use union ( Ctrl+ + ) to unite object.

------------

Tools used :

1. Inkscape 0.92
2. Open Broadcast System 0.16.2 / SimpleScreenRecorder 0.3.8
3. Kdenlive 17.03.70 ( more stable)
4. Ubuntu 16.04.1 ( with Unity desktop )
5. Fonts from Google Fonts
6. Material Design Color Palette .

You can also create two squares (beforehand), turn the snap options on, and snap them side by side, then draw the spiro path for the loop over the two squares and snap the spiro path points to the mid-points of the square sides. Now you have perfect symmetry loop.
