I Swallowed A Bee

Here is a late season hive removal that went very well except that a bee flew down my throat. Enjoy.

The audio problems that are apparent in this video have been figured out but there are a few more days that were recorded before I figured out I had a problem so the next few videos will be just as bad.

I don't know about you, but working for a couple of hours with my head looking up and honey dripping all over me, is not the way I prefer to remove a hive, give me a wall cut out any day. I got to admit, seeing a hive that big, even though it was overhead, gets my heart racing. Your plan of attack was perfect, you played those bees like a fiddle. That bee you swallowed would have tasted better if it had been covered in dark chocolate.And one more thing, with Christmas around the corner, the Gulf coast has some great Christmas light displays, I bet they'd look real good on a video. Peace brother.

Wow! That was a doozy! Huge hive! I wish so badly I could fly you up here to help me with a removal. I have a clients house that has honeybees 25' tall by 3 feet wide. waiting till spring to deal with it.... And I can't do it on my own.

The sound dropped out severely in the first few minutes of the video; when you were inside probing the ceiling for the hive... Could still hear you if strained mine ears, or I guess those using headphones had easier time at it.

You Monster, you devoured an innocent Bee... :P

Guess props are in order for not editing that out, and for the "smooth" line, like you drank some liquid fire disguised as alcohol; or in this case, murdered a Bee.

Least the upstairs neighbor was nice enough to lend you some electricity. And amazed it took that guy so long to buy the honey. He did not want to Bee that near to the Bees. He'd come over thinking he was brave enough, get buzzed a few times, then had to go recharge his liquid courage. Bet those neighbors still talking the two crazy guys who gave zero cares about all those Bees.

those purple flowers looked like asters to me.  Its a good fall flower and will grow during the golden rod season.  A great late food source for winter prep.

You really do a great job producing these videos! You speak clearly, (except when you are swallowing bees) and you provide "spot on" explanation while you are working. Please remember that some of us older, deaf, and slightly senile folks need repetition. "Repetition is good!" I hope you will discuss more about the use of nuc's and queen reproduction in the future. Great job! Keep up the great work and don't get weak. LP
