I've been spending weeks studying the letters to the seven Churches in Revelations. One particular letter to the church of Sardis convicted me so deeply I ended up studying it for more than a week and praying for resurrection in my life, my family but also the church and those who reject Him. This song is an intercession song. Without Jesus at the centre, without His Holy spirit we are DEAD. We might look okay from the outside. We might seem to be doing good works, yet DEAD in the spirit. Simply because we have forgotten where it all started, our salvation, started going ahead without Jesus, doing things by our own strength and losing power whilst at that. I pray we all sing this song with deeper understanding, not boasting on the fall of others but having deep compassion. For we don't know when the door will be shut for does also God lose His patience. Let's repent, let's seek His face as he warns the church of Sardis. Let's us fight to overcome through Christ who strengthens us. May you stay near Yah always Oncemore six, stay steady fast in His love and his statutes. May the Lord continue to use you in ministering through worship.
