The Pony Man by Gordon Lightfoot (cover)

Amanda, one of my YouTube subscribers, asked if I could record and post "The Pony Man." It's fairly simple, a 3-chord song (G, C, D) played with a Travis pick, but there are a lot of words. This is a song Gordon Lightfoot wrote for his kids back in about 1970. This is a tune I remembered, but the lyrics were a complete blank for me. It was fun to rediscover this song. It's too bad I never learned this song to sing to my kids when they were little. It would have been a pretty cozy song for bedtime. Thanks for listening. - Glenn

You gave it your own signature sound and vocal, thats what makes a great cover.

Delightful fairytale song for kids .. Your picking sounds much like that of Gordy himself. ♬‧*˚✧♬

Hello Glenn, I have a question. I bought guitar strings for my 12 string guitar and I have a problem with the numbers. (Elixir 10/47) The number 47 is the strongest string, so that's not a problem, but there are some thin strings that can be confused. I have 1 numbered 47, one numbered 39, one numbered 30, one numbered 27, one numbered 23, one numbered 18, and 2 strings numbered 14, one numbered 12, and 2 with the number 10, and last one with the number 9.
Which of the strings is the octave string? can you tell me something about that Thanks.
