To the caring ppl worrying about Kaavan’s ‘lack’ of friends: older male elephants are solitary. They look for females when they are in musth: a bull’s period of sexual activity, which generally starts when a bull is in their 15s (in healthy bulls, may continue to their 50s or 60s). It lasts 2-3 months. Kaavan was in musth last year but nothing happened.
Will have to wait some months to happen again.(there’s a diff between Asian & African 🐘 so this is a general observation).
