Top 10 Lore Rich Characters Who Were NOT End Bosses in Raids

preview_player
Показать описание
There are a couple raids where there was a ‘secret’ end boss or a hardmode sort of enabler, like Ra-den after Lei Shen, technically making Lei Shen not the final boss of his raid but because Lei Shen was designed to actually play like the end boss and Ra-den was completely optional, entries like him will not be counted onto this list, otherwise they’d easily steal entries, as end bosses tend to have the entire raid or patch dedicated to just them.

We could add Manaroth from Hellfire Citadel, Nazgrim from Siege of Orgrimar, Keepers in Ulduar, Saphiron in Naxxramas, Cho'Gol from Bastion of Twilight, Shade of Aranas from Karazhan(maybe), Zul from Uldir, etc...

Kargath and Kilrogg definetly need to be in this list. I was quite shock to see how they ended in Warlord of Draenor when they had so much history in WoW lore. Even in the alternate timeline their roles were bigger then "first raid boss" or "mid raid boss". They needed a raid of their own theme each!

I'm glad you summarized so much BfA and Legion lore here because I was on a long hiatus during most of those expansions and missed a lot of the story.

Il'gynoth is probably my favorite WoW character. The "something that should not be" title always sends me chills, he is so ominous and moves people outside the game, its like he is tempting people with forbidden knowledge as old gods do in game

Had to say, you must have not been playing in Dragonflight because Elisande comes back.
"However, the quests leading up to Tyr’s revival brought back another character players never would have expected to see. During the sidequest, players go to an alternate timeline before Grand Magistrix Elisande, the former leader of the Nightbourne, was killed. Elisande is in possession of a disc needed to revive the Keeper, and the players must convince her to hand over the artifact. She agrees, citing she had already learned what she needed to know from it, and then departs through a portal, seemingly escaping from the alternate World of Warcraft timeline and becoming an active player in the story once more."

What about Teron Gorefiend? He was one of the main characters in Warcraft 2 Beyond the Dark Portal, one of Guldan main allies, he made KelThuzad obsessed with necromancy when he raided Dalaran and has an epic battle with Turalion. And was also a non end boss twice if we count his WoD version

We also see Elisande in the Tyr's Guard questline from Dragonflight. Idk if it's THE Elisande, or just one from an alternate timeline...

I can't believe you put the rumor tumor at 10, he has been carrying the WoW theory crafting channels for years.

Hows about top 10 non legendary weapons in the lore that are NOT wielded by main or lore central characters like Thrall, Wrynn, Medhiev and the like. Stalvans Reaper, as an example.

It's crazy when you think about it Aggramar kind of created both the Orcs and the Humans

The audible groaned that came out of me when I saw Fallen Avatar 🤣

Aggramar accidentally created the orcs (or rather, they eventually evolved due to Aggramar's actions), by imbuing a giant mountain with life (which became Grond). When Grond and the Evergrowth destroyed each other, the pieces turned into collasals, while the pieces of the Evergrowth became the sporemounds. Then they further fragmented into magnaron and genesaur. Then spores infected the magnaron and they slowly changed over time, into ogron, ogres, and then finally orcs.

This situation arose because Draenor had too much spirit. Compared to Azeroth which didn't have enough, due to the world soul consuming it which made elementals able to manifest physically. The Evergrowth would've destroyed all life, but Aggramar's actions ended up creating both the Breakers (descendents of Grond), and the Primals (descendents of the Evergrowth). The ogres and orcs are the last of the Breaker line, they are fully flesh and show no sign of their rocky origins.

And we can now add the Silken Court to this list! the boss itself is really easy once the mechanics are known by all players but for some reason it seems that players in both Heroic and Normal continually fail to do a specific part and get a raid wipe every try. I haven't experience something like that since MOP. Again, the boss is easy but the fact that almost every player in the raid has a specific mechanic to look after makes it an extremely hard boss.

Would love to see star augur here. Maybe not to much lore about himself, but he get us to peek behind the curtains

Kind of a query over Rastakhan...
Didn't he Worship Bwonsamdi at the time of Dazar'alor... before that it was Rezan.
Zekhan was just zappy boye from the BFA trailer

I expect a few more parts to this in the future

Number X: Emerald Nightmare since, like, half of that raid was relatively lore rich.
