Yes. Please do a video on share buy backs. I want to learn what happens to those stocks. Do they get held by the company to resell when they need money, get issued as stock based compensation or do they go somewhere else.

Really good overview of how a stock split works. I'd never considered Dow index eligibility as a plus for splitting stock. Learned something! The $10B buyback is much more significant long-term, though.

Yesterday (May 27) I was told was the record day to purchase AMZN stocks to be eligible for the split. Is there any truth to this? What if I purchased more AMZN shares on Tuesday for $2350/share. Will that affect my split price and shares?

Not every brokerage offers fractional shares. I like my brokerage and don’t want to get a new one just to buy companies with pricey shares. I’ll be buying more Amazon now that I don’t have to pony up +$3k for each share.

Wish they did a bigger buy back. Seems paltry for Amazon, and this just replaces existing 5B buyback.
