I wonder has Robert Fripp ever said, 'Um', 'Er' or 'Eh', i.e. the types of noises one makes when they're thinking of something to say. Everything he says sounds like it's been written down as a prepared speech even when you know it's just coming off the top of his head. He never makes mistakes when speaking. He never speaks in incomplete sentences. He never loses his train of thought. He never pauses. Everything is well-pronounced and clear. It's amazing just listening to him speak, never mind play the guitar.
