Now I see what's going on, the gaiden chapters are just there for you to train up your characters. The main chapters are the brutal ones.

The game is back with the high enemy density maps. Class effective weapons are great here, they can reduce the enemy numbers off the bat, also try to reach Lajos as early as possible too. He will be a great asset against the wyvern riders.

More reinforcements will appear on turn 2, luckily they only appear on forts, so if you don't want to deal with them, just have someone sit on the forts. Brigands will also emerge from the cave, so take note of that.

There are a few items to steal, especially the secret book from the top right wyvern rider. A few turns later, the boss and the remaining units will start moving too, so take note of that.

I don't remember if there are more items to earn from keeping the soldiers alive, but that stuff about a new skill by promoting at lv 15 is news to me. And the power level bit ;:l
