Some Additional Thoughts On The Brown Family Tragedy

Please take the time to think about Garrison and the Brown family. As presented on the show Garrison was one of the stronger kids in the family. Headstrong and bold, he was always outspoken, but even the strongest rock needs rest. Please consider that the people around who seem ok, may not be ok.

There are some people who are remembering Garrison by donating to either the Flagstaff animal shelter or to their own local animal in his name. Garrison loved cats!! And had just saved a cat from euthanasia just days before he passed. I think it's a beautiful way to honor Garrison's life.

My heart breaks for Janelle, as a mother. My soul is shattered for Gabe, his view of life is altered in a way most of us will never be able to comprehend.

I can’t even believe this is happening. I just ache for Janelle, Christine, and Meri. I have never been able to wrap my head around the loss of a child. I am thankful they have one another, so they may process this and build strength from one another. I will keep this entire family in my prayers.

I hope that Garrison's death brings about a reflection in Kody, I hope he is able to, as a father, realize the impact he has on his children and that they are yours for life and need and want you in their life, maybe he will have a change of heart and decide to build back, earn, their trust and be a good dad, to me this would be the best thing to come from this tragedy and the best thing he could do for Garrison.

I lost my daughter 2 yrs ago and I’m just starting to accept the reality. It’s been the most painful event that I’ve experienced. My heart goes out to Janelle. Once the shock is over (my shock lasted a year) she will will doubt herself and if she failed him. Just so awful anyone has to go through. Bravo on this video it’s the classiest video I’ve seen

James, you are so right. The ones who seem okay are often not. A few weeks ago, a friend reached out to me late in the evening with suicidal thoughts. I was so grateful she did, because i knew if she was talking about it, she probably wouldn't do it. She has 3 daughters, ages 14 to 23. We had a long talk and the next day, she told me she had reached out to her doctor and to her therapist. She was so overwhelmed with some big things and just needed to be heard. In terms related to her life, i reminded her that a permanent solution to a temporary situation is never the answer.
