Why no Google assistant, no more music controls have to take phone out of pocket to skip to next track or pause, cant make or recieve a call what is the microphone and speaker for. no more 3rd party apps like Pandora ? Google maps, google pay, Fitbit is owned by Google why is Google apps missing ??? and 300$ really

Google has destroyed Fitbit. It used to be a progressive, cutting edge brand. Now it is just getting cannibalized so that Google can sell more Pixel watches. Why remove third party apps? Why are so many features unavailable at launch? You’ve also cheapened the band by removing the metal buckle. Don’t think we didn’t notice that.

As a customer who has been with this brand for years and years, it’s really disappointing to see the strategic retrogression of Fitbit. Give customers value. Charging $300 for a watch while intentionally throttling its potential is extremely counter-intuitive and I promise you, it will lose you customers. Listen to your customers instead of just doing what you want. Or just make the watch for yourselves.
